Terms of Service These terms cover your use of LLM Inspector, a Chrome extension that tracks the sources, queries, and citations behind your ChatGPT conversations.

§1 Acceptance By installing or using LLM Inspector (the “Extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please uninstall the Extension and don’t use it. The Extension is an independent, individually-maintained project. It is not made, endorsed, or supported by OpenAI or Google.
§2 The service LLM Inspector reads the ChatGPT conversation open in your active browser tab and extracts structured metadata from it: search queries, cited sources, ranked domains, and the models used. It displays this in a side panel and, on request, as a downloadable report. Everything the Extension captures is stored locally in your browser, using Chrome’s built-in storage — never on a server we operate. We have no account system and no backend; there is nothing for us to see or lose on your behalf.
§3 Google Sheets sync You may optionally turn on continuous sync to Google Sheets. When you do, the Extension asks Google for permission (via Google’s own consent screen) to create and write to a spreadsheet in your own Google Drive — one the Extension creates on your behalf and you fully own from that point on. This permission is scoped to files the Extension itself creates; it cannot see or touch the rest of your Drive. You can revoke access at any time from inside the Extension (the “Disconnect” control) or from your Google Account’s Third-party access settings. Turning sync off stops new rows from being written, but leaves the spreadsheet and its existing rows exactly as they are — nothing is deleted on your behalf.
§4 Accounts you need The Extension works against your existing ChatGPT session in the browser, and, if you enable sync, your Google account. We don’t create, store, or ask for a password for either — sign-in is handled entirely by OpenAI and Google respectively.
§5 Acceptable use Use the Extension only for your own conversations and in ways that respect: OpenAI’s Terms of Use and usage policies for ChatGPT; Google’s Terms of Service for any Google account or data you connect; applicable law, including around data you choose to export or share. Don’t reverse-engineer, resell, or use the Extension to build a competing product without asking first.
§6 Third-party services The Extension interoperates with ChatGPT and Google Sheets/Drive, both governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We don’t control how those services behave, and we’re not responsible for their outages, changes, or policies.
§7 Ownership The Extension’s code, name, and branding belong to its developer. The conversation data it extracts is, and remains, yours.
§8 No warranty The Extension is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. It’s an independently marprise product — we don’t guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly accurate about what it extractsfrom a ChatGPT conversation, since ChatGPT’s own page structure can change without notice.
§9 Liability To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Extension — including data loss in a Google Sheet you control, or reliance on inaccurate extracted citations.
§10 Changes & termination These terms may be updated as the Extension changes; the date at the top of this page always reflects the latest version. Continuing to use the Extension after an update means you accept the revised terms. You can stop using the Extension at any time by disabling sync, revoking Google access, and/or uninstalling it from chrome://extensions.
§11 Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the developer’s jurisdiction of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights that can’t be waived.
