How to Use Gemini in Chrome to Double Down on a Viral LinkedIn Post

Based on Tim Soulo’s post on effective marketing distribution strategy, this tutorial shows how to use Gemini in Chrome to expand viral LinkedIn posts into detailed articles by summarizing community comments and generating fresh insights.

Actual Steps Taken

Here are the steps that I took in order to reproduce the logic of Tim.

  1. I had a popular post: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7452360048418172928/
  2. I created a blog post: https://www.jcchouinard.com/google-search-central-live-toronto-slides-april-2026/
  3. That blog post was shared by the awesome Aleyda Solís and got popular https://www.linkedin.com/posts/aleyda_google-search-central-live-toronto-slides-activity-7452984201877983232-q2FY/
  4. Created a video and blog post to leverage what the community said https://www.jcchouinard.com/how-to-use-gemini-in-chrome-to-double-down-on-a-viral-linkedin-post/
  5. Took the awesome comments from the community and improved my initial blog post and shared on Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jeanchristophechouinard_wow-it-was-fantastic-to-see-how-excited-activity-7453503348466700288-znmk?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAA2blqIBbQEqdbHC82mHlLQkkhMGCge9anc

The result is that I end up with
1. A much better blog post
2. A ton more activity on social
3. a completely different type of new content where I started with conferences slides > then used community discussion, to finally create a video on how to use social media with AI type of post.

Steps to Use a Viral LinkedIn Post to Create More Valuable Content

    1. Identify a Viral Post: Start with a LinkedIn post that has already resonated with your audience, indicated by high engagement and numerous comments.
    2. Gather Community Insights: Instead of just relying on your own thoughts, open the comments section to capture the “industry’s collective intelligence”.
    3. Analyze Feedback with AI: Use a tool like Gemini in Chrome to process the thread. Prompt the AI to:
      • Summarize all opinions shared by the community.
      • Highlight conflicting viewpoints to provide a balanced perspective.
      • Identify unanswered questions people still have.
    4. Extract High-Value Content: Ask the AI to identify which specific images or concepts from the original post or comments are likely to be the most “viral” or impactful for a follow-up.
    5. Create a “Non-Commodity” Article: Combine your original expertise with these new community insights to write a detailed article. This transforms a short social post into a “high-gain” content piece that provides unique value.
    6. Loop Back to Social: Use the new insights from your long-form article to create a fresh LinkedIn post, effectively “doubling down” on a topic that is already proven to be successful.
